Ukraine is the largest and one of the most diverse countries in Europe, I had hundreds of unique shots to choose from, but I ended up with a shot that I took from my balcony in Kyiv. As of March 2, 2022, Ukraine has been on the defensive for a week now, fiercely resisting the massive Russian invasion. I'm seeking refuge abroad, but my family and many friends are still there, fighting on battlefields, hiding in bomb shelters, trying to save their lives. Not all of them will make it. So the view I used to enjoy from my home is the brightest image from Ukraine I can imagine now. Hope to see it again.
Kyiv, Ukraine // Jan 2020
A unique NFT photography project with the ambitious goal of visiting all existing countries and picking one photo from each. The final result is going to be a historical collection about what the planet Earth looked like in the 2010-2020s.
The name "UN 193" is a reference to how people define some territory as a country these days. All internationally recognized countries are part of an organization called the United Nations (UN), and there are 193 such countries in the world.
Most of them have been visited already, and this project is intended to fund finishing the mission.
